Welcome to Townsville Bushwalking Club

Townsville CityThe Club conducts a bushwalk every fortnight except for December / January. Many of the walks are within an hours drive of Townsville. One-day walks are held on Sundays, and multi-day bushwalks are often conducted during the year.

Visitors and members who wish to participate in the next walk are encouraged to attend the pre-walk meeting for a briefing on the walk and to register. Pre-walk meetings are held at the Blessed Mary Mackillop Parish meeting room (building behind the Church), 43 Ross River Road Mundingburra at 6pm. Refer to Calendar for dates.

Visitors are most welcome to attend the pre-walk meeting where members will be available to provide information about the Club, bushwalking in the region, and answer any queries.

Next Bushwalk

The next bushwalk is a one dayer on Sunday 28th August 2016 to Cockatoo Creek.

The pre-walk planning meeting is on Monday 22nd August 2016 at the club meeting room. Interested participants are invited to attend the pre-walk meeting for details of the bushwalk and to register.  A special introductory walk will be conducted on 18th September 2016 in Paluma Dam area. This is suitable for prospective walkers to gain insight into club walks and bushwalking in the region, and the Paluma 'secret' tracks network. A great waterfall and swim hole tops this off for a very good day out. Interested participants are invited to attend the pre-walk meeting on Monday 5th September 2016 for details and to register.
