Emmet is situated miles south of Townsville on Highway 1. Cars can be parked on a track S.W. of road bridge.
This is a particularly steep creek but does not carry a lot of water, hence there are few swimming holes. A good view is obtained from the top. It is one of the few creeks whose source can be reached in a day's outing.
