Hen Camp Creek & Ollera Creek
Discover Hencamp Creek and Ollera Creek, scenic bushwalking spots north of Townsville. These rainforest creeks offer refreshing streams, rocky scrambles, and the potential for a two-day hike over Circle Mountain linking both creeks. A hidden gem for adventurous North Queensland walkers.

HEN CAMP CREEK
Hen Camp Creek is located 37 miles north of Townsville on the main Highway. Cars can be parked off the road on an old detour on the west side. Up to date has been a day walk. Is typical of creeks in the area, - interesting, and is an up and down walk. Suggest that it be conducted as a 2 day walk to investigate the upper reaches to see if it is possible to walk up Hen Camp Creek and over Circle Mountain into Ollera Creek and down to the main road. For a 2 day trip it is suggested that cars are parked in the farmer's yard on the N.W. side of the creek. The farmer has never been contacted. The creek only stops running during extremely dry seasons.
OLLERA CREEK
Ollera Creek situated 40.5 miles north of Townsville on Highway 1. Turn off to creek 0.7 miles north of road bridge on L.H.S. going N. Drive into farm and ask permission from farmer. Cross the Mt. Spec. Pipe and stop at end of track. This is a particularly pretty creek and only stops running during extremely dry seasons. Unfortunately the farmer usually refuses permission to go up the creek. If a weekend walk is conducted up Hen Camp Creek and down Ollera Creek it is possible to miss the farmer's house by cutting around the foothills back to Hen Camp Creek.
