Comments

The route taken was excellent - a trip thoroughly recommended. Water was obtainable below the saddles between the peaks 3100' 3300' 3500' & Mt Bowen. There are some beautiful, deep, clear pools in Zoe Ck. The route around the rocks between the 2 bays provided a (sometimes) exciting finish to the trip avoiding being washed off the faces by waves - but was far preferable to the inland scrub-bash.

HINCHINBROOK ISLAND May 1970

Party: Isobel Colman, Jan Partridge, Lou Darseniza, Peter Reimann

Route: Camped above at waterfall in creek running into the southern end of Zoe Bay. Climbed Diamantina & returned to the waterfall in a day - somewhat pressed. Route taken was as per Dec 1967 sketch.
