St. Margaret's Creek

For access to St. Margaret's Creek see sketch map A.

To obtain the key to the gate see map B.

After approx. 15 minutes walking upstream from the cars take the L.H. fork.

Approx. 5 minutes from here is what is known as the Slippery Dip. It is advisable to take a couple of old sacks to slide on. This is the ideal spot for the morning cuppa.

The creek branches a short distance from the Slide. Keep to the main R.H. branch (looking upstream).

Approx. 1 hour's walk from the Slide follow the L.H. fork and climb up a series of cascades to reach the foot of the Falls. It takes 45 minutes to climb up the rock face, and although a rope is not essential it could be useful. The descent of the Falls can be made in about 35 minutes in the scrub on the L.H.S. (looking downstream).
