Walkers Creek 19.10.85
Walkers Creek bushwalk (1985) offered water sports, climbing, and gem hunting in North Queensland’s upper reaches. Despite drought, pools and slides provided plenty of fun before a dramatic thunderstorm ended the trip. A classic Paluma Range adventure with history, scenery, and exploration.

Usual access. New owners should be contacted. Smoko pool very low. Big king brown who guarded the pool no longer there. Alas, 10 years is a very long time. In spite of the drought plenty of water in upper reaches. Indulged in water sports and climbing, slippy slides etc. Looked for garnets and tin and iron pyrities in upper reaches.
Returned to car in beaut thunderstorm.
E. Kelly.
