Saltwater Creek Gorge in Clemant State Forest delivered a rewarding off-track adventure with hidden cattle pads, fresh landslips, rocky creek travel, granite pools, and a scenic gorge swim - a memorable North Queensland club hike.
Tully Falls National Park
This Tully Gorge trip was a tough exploratory bushwalk through giant house-sized boulders, caves, swims, and underground waterfalls. Although the full loop was abandoned, the day delivered scrambling, adventure, and a memorable taste of this wild gorge.
Paluma
After years, Luen finally explored Williams Creek with Debbie and found the small falls he had long suspected were there. A fun off-track day of ridgeline walking, creek hopping, rainforest scenery, and a swim.

A three-day Porcupine Gorge Easter adventure saw four Townsville Bushwalking Club members hike 26 km through sandstone gorge country, creek crossings, Lookout Gorge, and White Wall, with base camp at the Amphitheatre under brilliant outback night skies.
Paluma
A tough two-person adventure to Little Gin Creek in Paluma Range National Park, with cassowary signs, thick rainforest, wait-a-while, slippery cascades, and a steep off-track climb out making for a big, rewarding day.
